Nicki Minaj wants to teach the art of rapping to Stephen Fry. The actor who is 54 years old recently grabbed the limelight after he recorded his own version of the super hit Nicki Minaj’s song “Super Bass” and posted it on twitter. Nicki Minaj is scheduled to tour UK in the month of June and she wants to help the British Actor hone his skills in rapping.
According to a source, who informed The Sun Newspaper, Nicki Minaj heard the song and was quite happy and impressed with it. But she believes that some more tricks needed to be done to make it fabulous. So she have it in mind to teach “Sherlock Holmes: A game of Shadows” star a thing or two about the art of rapping.
Nicki Minaj, the Trinidad born American musician has helped a lot of celebrities in perfecting their musical techniques. She had earlier taught Susan Boyle the art of rapping at the backstage of “America’s Got Talent” programme. A source had confirmed that Susan and Nicki may come from two different planets altogether but both really gelled well. Nicki had deliberately asked Nicki to try her outfits backstage and the whole incident was pretty humorous.
Nicki Minaj brought out her debut album, Pink Friday, in the month of November 2010. It got excellent response and reached the heights of commercial success. It was positioned at number one in the U.S. Billboard 200. It got certified as Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. Her second single number, “Your Love”, reached the number one in the charts of Billboard Hot Rap Songs.

As the release of her sophomore album ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded,’ is getting nearer, Nicki is getting wide publicity and her controversial Grammy performance is being scrutinized by the media. Nicki has already released several songs from her new album, including “Roman in Moscow” and “Starships.” This has brought her severe accusations of being “selling out” and “going pop.”
In a recent interview, she referred to the critics’ accusations and said that she is aware of what she is doing and she expects people to know that by now. However, it seems to her now that people are changeable on their beliefs. She also clarifies that she intended to release something more urban after ‘Starships.’ However, she chose to do so not out of pressure but out of a creative desire.
Two nights ago, Nicki Minaj dropped her ‘Roman Reloaded’ single in which she worked alongside Lil Wayne. She confirms that the single was actually written by herself. Nicki also stressed on the fact that she writes the lyrics of her own singles. She said that while she sometimes shuffles between hip hop and pop, she is definitely going to stay true to her hip hop roots and that her fans need not fear that she is going to drift away and be a full time pop star.
